Today, I went to the hairdresser and there was this old woman who came in after some time. Off course there was some small talk, especially between the hairdresser and the old lady, I was just sitting there and listening. At my first opinion the lady seemed fine and really clever, and she had like this positive vibe hanging around her. When the talking continued, suddenly she began crying. Apparently her oldest daugther has breast cancer. She soon whipped her tears and was talking on and on about her daughter, all -like I said- in this positive way that she's gonna be fine and that there may not be chemo. Then she said, she's so glad that her daughter has this great husband, who seems to take care of all the important stuff. All this talking while i'm just sitting there having my hair done, it made me think.
Sometimes we just have to be reminded that nothing comes for granted and that we should be thankful for all the days we are healthy. It's only kinda sad that something so stupid should happen before you think about this fact. So here's my new year's resolution; trying to be thankful every day - without having to be reminded for it - for my life, and for being capable of living a life that many others can't.
Love.
